The location is excellent especially is you are traveling with out a vehicle. We flew in and took the metro from the airport to Union Station, which is almost directly across the street. The hotel is in walking distance of the Capital building and the National Mall, however you can also take the metro the Mall station. The hotel was lovely, it is in an older building which has a lot of charm to it. It is a little expensive but for us the convenience was key, plus it was a vacation get away. We did eat the the Dubliner twice for dinner. The food was good, but I am not that into Irish food so it was not my favorite but definitely convenient at the end of a long day walking around the city. A block or so over is a liquor store where you can purchase wine ect. There is also a corner bakery a few doors down that had a good breakfast. The staff here was very helpful and kind. We don't have our rooms cleaned while we are staying somewhere so I can't comment on that but the hotel over all was very well take care of. The coffee bar on the second floor was wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and really helpful with suggestions and maps. The beds and facilities were amazing and the location was excellent ~so close to Union Station and the circulator buses. We could walk easily to the Capitol and Supreme Court and Postal Museum etc and walk 5 minutes to the start of the mall circulator. There was free coffee and all manner of hot drinks available 24/7 via a machine. It was delicious. The Dubliner Pub attached also had ala carte for all meals of the day. It was also frequented by locals in the evening, so it was a good idea to check the menu before hand so that you knew what to order as the staff were very, very busy. The breakfast menu was good but you had to be patient and allow time for your order as everyone including the kitchen seemed to be flat out! It was always full for all meals every day we were there, and then there was the bar too. It was so good not to have to go out for a drink after a full day's sightseeing!

This hotel’s location is what makes investing in a room here worth it! It’s within a walkable distance to many things if you’re in the mood to get some steps in! The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel smells great! It was nice stepping into the corridor, or visiting the second floor for hot coffee, and being greeted with a pleasant smell of “freshness” from the air freshener the hotel uses. The hotel has an Irish pub, we didn’t eat there but we went in for some quick drinks, and the service was fast and friendly! They have live music (Irish Folklore), but it’s not a place to stay for long, if you’re looking for diversity. It wasn’t particularly my “vibe,” but it was charming.

The staff really make this hotel! The people on reception (every shift) and the doormen (also every shift) are so lovely. They were falling all over themselves to be helpful and friendly. I can't praise them enough. The room was great. Nicely furnished and decorated with a big TV and a good shower. The bed was basically the lap of luxury. Such a relief to sink into it after a long day of walking. The location was ideal - 3 minutes from Union Station/Metro, 10 minutes' walk from the Capitol. There are lots of good restaurants within 10/12 minutes' walk as well. And if you want a really good coffee close by then go to The Blue Bottle in Union Station. Oh, and did I mention how great the staff were?

There were 4 of us and had 2 different rooms. One room was absolutely spectacular! Very large, great view, good sized bathroom with large counter space. The other room was very nice as well, but much smaller without a view, bathroom was much smaller and had no counter to use. Two of us came last year, and the smaller room is the one we had last year, so we were very excited to see the larger room. Both rooms were clean, had mini-fridges, ironing board with iron, two comfortable queen sized beds, and tv's. The hotel is in a great location right near the train station and the Capital Building, and the Mall.
